About The Role

  • Communicate and answer all relevant questions on the university, accommodation facilities, foods available and ambient climate, etc.
  • Welcome international students from the airport and accompany the him/her to the selected accommodation.
  • Tour of the locality where accommodated and tour of the university campus.
  • Advise on correct procedures to have a student identity card, open a bank account, or any other transaction
  • Report to the Student Affairs Section of the University regarding any problems encountered.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

You must be:

  • A current Undergraduate/ Postgraduate student at a Public Higher Education Institution.
  • Studying in penultimate or final year.
  • Available for mentoring new international students including outside university hours.
  • Committed to helping others and genuinely want to make a difference to international students’ life.
  • Note: Giving financial aid to the mentee is excluded from the mentor’s list of duties.
